Gold Reward Update

Recently, we tested some changes to the Yay! Gold reward system as part of exploring new ways to enhance interactions with Yay! Genesis & Pal NFTs. During this time, few users received additional Yay! Gold as part of these tests. Those additional Gold will not be deducted as an operation, while Yay! Gold reward system has been adjusted back to its original settings.

What is Yay! Staking?

The Yay! Staking Campaign allows participants to earn various rewards, including protocol points, yields, Yay! Gold, and ???? point, based on their staking amount and duration. Besides Yay! Gold and ???? point, the protocol points earned will vary depending on the selected vault.

Between 8:00 PM JST on September 26, 2024, and 2:00 PM JST on September 30, 2024, an error was detected in the distribution formula for ???? points in StakeStone Vault staking. The adjustment will be made at 22:00 PM JST on October 18, 2024. We are taking steps to prevent such issues from occurring in the future.

Symbiotic and Mellow point views are now available for StakeStone Vault stakers

The display of Symbiotic and Mellow points has been enabled for StakeStone Vault staking. Please note that the update frequency for Symbiotic and Mellow points is once every 24 hours.

Kelp Staking: Understanding the Temporary Decrease in Staked ETH

For those staking ETH in the Kelp Vault via the Yay! Dashboard, an initial decrease in the staked ETH amount may occur. This is due to the weekly calculation of management fees (2% per annum) and interest by Kelp Vault, which takes place on different days. At times, the management fee may be deducted before interest is applied, leading to a temporary reduction. Over time, the interest rate is designed to surpass the management fee, allowing the staked ETH amount to gradually increase.

Kelp DAO estimates that staked ETH amounts could potentially exceed the original staked value within 2-3 weeks from the start of staking. However, this timeframe is not assured and may vary based on several factors, including market conditions and the timing of fee and interest calculations.

Testnet Genesis Airdrop for Yay! Dashboard Test Version Launch

The Testnet Genesis Airdrop has been conducted as a part of the Yay! Dashboard Test Version launch. The Genesis NFT acts as a gateway to privileged participation and enhanced engagement in Yay!’s expanding ecosystem, offering both immediate and future advantages to its holders.

Adjustment to Point Distribution

Soneium Bridge to Be Available on January 16th

Celebrating the Soneium mainnet launch, Soneium Bridge will be available starting January 16th 15:00 JST. Please be ready to Go Mainstream Upcoming Features:

• Bridge Availability: You will be able to transfer your yaySTONE, yayAgETH, and ASTR to Soneium Chain starting January 16th 15:00 JST.

• Enhanced Rewards: By bridging your assets to the Soneium Chain, you can now enjoy a 10x point boost, a significant increase compared to the 3x multiplier available on the Ethereum Mainnet.

For those who have already provided liquidity for yayAgETH, head to Velodrome. Necessary steps to complete:

1. Under the Liquidity Rewards section on the Velodrome Dashboard, locate the liquidity pool you just provided liquidity to, click Stake, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
2. Set the stake amount to 100%, confirm and approve the transaction.

Important Note

• yayAgETH LP has started since February 20th, 2025 at 10 pm JST. For those who have completed liquidity providing using yayAgETH on Velodrome until February 21st, 2025 at 11:30 am JST, Yay! will assure the point rewards.

• Now, both yayAgETH and yaySTONE point rewards will begin after completing the necessary steps (described above section) after February 21st, 2025 at 11:30 am JST. so please make sure to complete all the steps required.

Yay! has launched its own point tracking system to manage EigenLayer rewards earned through ETH staking and liquidity providing activities specifically within the StakeStone vault, as part of the Yay! ecosystem.

What Are Yay! EigenLayer Points?

Yay! EigenLayer Points are earned when you stake ETH in the StakeStone vault, or when you provide liquidity using yaySTONE. These points determine your eligibility for $EIGEN token rewards.

Why a New Point System?

Previously, all EigenLayer points were managed by StakeStone. As Yay! continues to grow, we’ve introduced our own point system—Yay! EigenLayer Points—to give users better visibility, faster updates, and support for more types of contributions like LPs. This also allows Yay! to expand its reward system more flexibly in the future. All points earned under this system are calculated and displayed directly in your Yay! Dashboard.

Season Timeline

Why is this necessary?

As , there was a security incident involving the Neemo Vault. While the risk to Yay! users remains relatively low, we still recommend revoking approvals to ensure the security of your assets. This is a precautionary step and aligns with best practices in managing token permissions.

What does "revoke approval" mean?

When you interact with DeFi applications, you often give them permission (approval) to move tokens on your behalf. If those contracts are later compromised or no longer maintained, leaving those approvals in place can expose your assets to unnecessary risk.

Revoking approvals removes this permission.

The standard unstake process on the StakeStone Vault now takes significantly longer due to upstream changes by EigenLayer.

Key Updates:

• Withdrawal Time Extended: EigenLayer increased its normal unstake period from 7 to 14 days. Since StakeStone also needs to convert stETH to ETH via Lido (which adds another 14 days), the total waiting period is now approximately 28+ days.

• Instant Unstake Available: We’re working with the StakeStone team to mitigate this problem, and they will periodically refill ETH in the instant unstake pool. Users can use instant unstake with no downside compared to request unstake—there is no need to wait through the extended unstake timeline.

• Cancel Unstake Requests: A new feature now allows users to cancel their existing unstake requests. You can cancel and re-submit as an instant unstake if you prefer not to wait.

Thanks to feedback from several wonderful community members, we've identified some issues with point calculations. First, we'd like to express our gratitude to everyone in the community who brought this to our attention.

We identified an issue in the snapshot data used to calculate rewards for StakeStone vault, StakeStone LP, and Kelp LP, which led to incorrect Yay! Gold and ???? Points being granted to some users. The fix has now been deployed, and a one-time adjustment has been applied.

Scope

The issue affected rewards earned:

• From StakeStone LP and Kelp LP since 11 September 2025

• From StakeStone vault since 29 September 2025

Other vaults, campaigns, and sources of Yay! Gold / ???? Points are not affected.

What We Fixed and Adjusted

• We corrected the snapshot data used as the basis for reward calculation in the affected vaults.

• We recalculated past rewards using this corrected snapshot data.

• We then applied a one-time adjustment to both Yay! Gold and ???? Points for affected users so that balances now reflect the correct rewards.

User Impact

• If you previously received fewer rewards than you should have, your Yay! Gold and/or ???? Points balance has increased.

• If you previously received more rewards than you should have, your Yay! Gold and/or ???? Points balance has been reduced accordingly.

• No action is required on your side; the adjustment has already been reflected in your account.
